Perry Township Fire Department dispatch was able to determine his location through cell phone GPS technology.
Noall, 72, of Westfield Center, called 911 after the crash, not knowing his location. The pilot of the 1943 Taylor Craft 1.2 single engine airplane, Wayne J. Officers from the Perry Township Police Department, the Ohio State Highway Patrol and personnel from the Perry Township Fire Department were dispatched to the area.
Efforts by CAK control to contact the aircraft by radio were unsuccessful.Īt 9:10 a.m., Perry Township Fire Department dispatch reported residents of the Bunker Hill neighborhood in Perry Township reported seeing a small plane crash into a wooded area northeast of their neighborhood.
